I absolutely adore how the schizoid announcer switches back and forth from creepy Percy Rodrigues on the gory details to Rod Roddy when ballyhooing the title -- Suzy Kendall! C'mon down! Your the next contestant to get hacked to bits with a tree saw! Yeah, director Sergio Martino's late gialli entry, Torso (a/k/a I Corpi presentano tracce di violenza carnale) is one of those transitional body-count pieces, where the genre was slowly transforming from baroque whodunits to stalk-n-slash whogivesashit. And thanks to the folks at Blue Underground, who've just released Torso on DVD, I can finally chuck that Nth generation VHS dub.
