Squirm's poster was better than that film deserved.
Eh, I always thought the film had a rustic charm about it and -- no, wait. You're right. But TALES OF THE GOLD MONKEY, that was the shit, am I right?!? C'mon. Back me up on this.
I LOVE RADIOLAND MURDERS. Oy, I kissed a moose!
I very seriously say at least twice a week, "It might be im-por-tant" in a goofy voice. Ugh, why don't I own this movie.
That artwork isn't bad. The finished poster is really nice, and the guy at the mic is especially good. Love it.
Er, Google wouldn't let me sign up for email notifs, trying again...
My absolute favorite bit in that movie is when a completely plastered Harvey Korman encourages the hero to jump off the ledge. "Jump, Roger. Jump!" Floors me every time. The script foul-ups, with the soap and the jungle adventure gets mixed, how the musical numbers mirror the progress of the murder plot, and everything in the writers room. "Dad, just shut up about the car!" I use whenever a convo starts losing focus. LOVE that movie unconditionally.
The stampede when someone yells "Paycheck!" is absolute GOLD. It must have been a blast to write the scenes for the writer's room.
Funny you should mention the TotGM, (as fans refer to it), it's been in my Netflix queue for a while. May have to bump it up, closer to the top.
I was always a little disappointed whatshisface Collins didn't do more actiony roles. The only things I see him in are father figure, family dramas.
I loooove Tales of the Gold Monkey, me and Movie Mike had a blast Skyping it when it finally hit DVD. Of all the shows that should have lasted more than one season that's a big one.
I honestly had no idea it was available until Bill pointed it out. That'll learn me to dump my Netflix discs...
