Something about Reptilicus' design; except for the regen ability (and possible acid breath weapon a la a D&D Black Dragon), he was definitely a Norse Dragon; long and serpentlike, with small legs and wings(?)
Appropriate that a Scandinavian Kaiju would be based on a Scandinavian dragon.
I always loved Reptilicus as a kid. One of my favorite monster movies on the Creature Double Feature show out of Boston. It doesn't really hold up to serious viewing today, but I still love it for nostalgic reasons!
