Lunar Crater: 9 Miles Until the Annual September Sabbatical.
Wait. Where in the hell did August go?! Well, wherever it went, she gone, and that means September is nigh and my biological clock confirms it's time for our annual Sabbatical. Time to step away from the keyboard to recharge the decaying gray matter and let the scabs on my typing knuckles heal up a bit. Of course, when we return, I will once again be participating in this:
That's 26 films, 26 reviews, in 26 days for your reading displeasure. But! For what I commit in spelling errors and grammatical atrocities I more than make up in the pretty pictures to look at department. So, there's that. I know, I know, this outburst will more than double my output for the entire year thus far, you say. Well, I got news on that front, too. So stay tuned for a HUGE announcement once Hubrisween 2019 concludes -- he typed ominously. Until then, stay cool, Boils and Ghouls. I. Am. Outta. Here...

Announcements :: We're Headin' Up, and Movin' Out.
Well, it's that time of year again, Boils and Ghouls, as the Annual September Sabbatical has once more sprung as we leave the Satan's Halitosis of Summer behind and barrel toward the cooler environs of Fall, which means I will once more be unplugging the old keyboard to let my typing knuckles scab over for a whole calendar month -- and then panic and scramble as we will return with Round 6 of Hubrisween, meaning 26 more films, 26 more reviews, in 26 days due in October.
HOLY FARTKNOCKERS!!!
Until then, I will be hanging out with Gil and Rowdy and the boys. In the meantime, stay cool, and keep movin', movin', movin'...

We'll Meet Again? Well, I Sure as Hell Hope So! But, You Never Know...
B
Well, it's that time of year again folks as the Annual September Sabbatical is once more upon us, which means I will back away from the keyboard and let my typing knuckles scab over and spend some time in the Meat Space for a whole calendar month -- and then panic and scramble as we are also approaching Round 5 of Hubrisween, meaning 26 films, 26 reviews, in 26 days in October. Eek. And eek again.

Hello, I Must Be Going. I Cannot Stay, I Came to Say I Must Be Going. I'm Glad I Came But Just the Same I Must Be Going...
It's at-thay ime-tay of-way ear-yay, olks-fay. ime-Tay or-fay e-thay Annual-way eptember-Say abbatical-Say! ere-Whay I-way ake-tay a-way ole-whay onth-may off-way om-fray e-thay orld-way ide-way eird-way of-way eb-way! *eyegitty**eyegitty**eyegitty*
Uh, sorry about that. Been dreaming in Pig Latin lately. Anyhoo ... Fear not, as always, I shall return in October, typing knuckles scabbed over, brain recharged, and loins-girded only to jump back into the fray, big time, as I once more will take part in Hubrisween, meaning 26 spooky film reviews in 26 days. See ya then, Boils and Ghouls. And until then, stay cool! Now play us out, Buck!

Exiting, Stage Left.
Holy crap, but it's that time of year again folks. E'yup, the Annual September Sabbatical is upon us, which means I will back away from the keyboard and let my typing knuckles scab over for a whole calendar month. Well, almost, as I will be bobbing to the surface long enough to post in The Celluloid Zeroes latest roundtable:
As to what I will be reviewing for that, well, it's a surprise. But not that big of one when I tell you a giant Were-Spider is involved. And when we officially return in October, I will be joining another motley consortium of blogs for Hubrisween III, a 26 day-straight Alphabetical Horror Movie Marathon, starting with Anthropophagus (1980) and ending with Zombie Lake (1980) with all kinds of surprises in-between.
And then, following that up in November, I will be participating in The Criterion Blogathon, which should be self-explanatory enough.
And to what I will be covering? Oh, just a bunch of murdering disembodied brains hopping around in this:
So, yeah, time to recharge the mental batteries a bit before tackling all of that. Fear not, I shall return. Until then, stay cool, Boils and Ghouls. Now play us out, boys...

Time for the Annual Goodbye. So, Goodbye.
Between you and me, the month of August, 2014, can go @$%* itself with a crooked thorny stick, eat a big pile of cat poop, choke on it, but then live to think about what it's done. Why so angry? Lets count the reasons: One, a shredded plantar fascia in a work related incident, leading to some workman's comp hoops to jump through, which is really hard to do when your foot has essentially been destroyed. Two, my air-conditioner broke to the tune of money I simply do not have. And the tune is so great it makes financial sense to just replace the whole thing. Did I mention how hot and humid it is here? Again, either way, I ain't got the moneys. Three, a long planned return to the Riverside Drive-In for the Super Monster-Rama was scuttled not once, but twice. First, for very stupid reasons, the second, physical due to the shredded tendon. Also, turns out, I am broke. All of this, of course, is not "technically" August's fault. I'm just lashing out, and the month agreed to take one for the team. August is cool like that.
Anyhoo, so, yeah, I am definitely ready for the Annual September Sabbatical. Thus and so, I will be off the web until the calendar flips to October, where I've finally decided to take part in one of those month long Halloween movie challenges: 26 alphabetical films in 26 days. From Anthropophagus to Zombie Lake. Should be interesting. Until then, Boils and Ghouls, stay cool!
